Haría celebrates World Health Day with a conference to promote healthy habits

The different events will take place next Saturday, April 6, and Sunday, April 7, in different areas of the municipality

The Haría City Council, in collaboration with HaríaTrail Team, celebrates the 'Haría cares for you, Haría takes care of itself' days, with a program of activities for the whole family on the occasion of World Health Day. The different events will take place next Saturday, April 6, and Sunday, April 7, in different areas of the municipality.

The Councilor for Health, Marcos Lemes, considers that "these days are a good opportunity to raise awareness in our community about the importance of taking care of our health and promoting healthy habits and lifestyles." For his part, the mayor Alfredo Villalba invites all citizens to participate in these events that "promote a much healthier and more resilient society" and thanks all the collaborators and participants who make this event possible.

These days will begin next Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with a Zumba masterclass in the Haría square. An hour later, the children's workshop 'Fruit Animals' will take place in the La Tegala sociocultural center.

On the other hand, around 6:00 p.m. a series of conferences will be held in the same sociocultural center with speakers such as the Primary Care physician, Fernando Jiménez, with the talk 'Healthy Habits', the nurse of the Emergency Service of the Doctor José Molina Orosa University Hospital, Yone Caraballo, with the presentation 'Prevention of cardiovascular diseases', and the nursing assistant technician of the same hospital, Encarna Barrios, with the talk 'Basic nursing care'.

The following day, Sunday, April 7, a family walk will take place, starting from the Haría square at 9:30 a.m. To conclude the days, a round table will be held at 6:00 p.m. with experts such as Anaís Rodríguez and Alba Gómez, nurses from the Insular Hospital of Lanzarote; the diabetes education nurse from the Titerroy Health Center, Ico Toledo, and Yone Caraballo.
