These amount to 8,540,039 euros and the main objective, according to the City Council, is to "improve social welfare and increase investments in education, employment and new infrastructures in the municipality."
The new accounts, which were approved with the favorable vote of Coalición Canaria and the Platform of the Municipality of Haría, the negative vote by the Socialist Party and with the abstention of councilor Soraya Brito, increase "by one million euros compared to the previous ones in force, which were close to 7.5 million euros."
"These new budgets are ambitious, efficient and show the commitment of the Government group to policies that promote the welfare of the population, especially the elderly, employment and education, among other areas that are vital to properly serve the citizens,” said the mayor of Haría, Chaxiraxi Niz.
“We have tried to formulate accounts based on responsibility and the balance between expenses and income, so that several of the debts we had have been closed and we will continue to carry out management focused on stability,” said the mayor.
“To achieve the commitment of this Government with the people, we have an Investment Plan of 600,000 euros, whose two main objectives are the creation of employment in a small municipality, which urgently needs the City Council to intervene to contribute to labor insertion, and generate new infrastructures for the benefit of the community, an essential job to maintain our environment and to provide adequate services to the people,” detailed the mayor.
During her speech, Chaxiraxi Niz, recently reincorporated to the Mayor's Office after her maternity leave, thanked Víctor Robayna for his work as acting mayor and the entire Government group. "They have made it possible for us to be talking today in Haría about these budgets that, without a doubt, will improve the quality of life of the residents of our municipality," she concluded.
