Lawyer Francisco Rodríguez Batllori is part of the new list of detainees this Friday in the framework of the third phase of Operation "Unión", known as Operation "Jable".
Batllori, who was Minister of Employment of the Government of the Canary Islands and Deputy Minister of Justice and Security, had sent this week [a letter to La Voz de Lanzarote, in which he denied having a relationship with the case->38811], after several media had pointed out his name.
In the letter, he did acknowledge having a close relationship with Dimas Martín, stating that in recent years he has held "various meetings with him in the company of other political leaders from various parties with various objectives, among which the desired idea of the unity of Canarian nationalism or the formation of other possible majorities could be highlighted."
In addition, the letter indicated that he had advised Inalsa at the request of the former CEO, Plácida Guerra, and her manager, before the public company entered into bankruptcy proceedings. In this regard, he denied any irregularity in the payments he received from Inalsa, assuring that they were made "with complete transparency and legality."
The arrest of Rodríguez Batllori would be just one of those that have occurred this Friday,
