The Governing Council of the Canary Islands, in its session held this Monday, November 3, has appointed Erasmo García de León as director of the Lanzarote Health Area of the Canary Islands Health Service (SCS), replacing Esther Machín, who left the position by her own decision and to whom the Executive thanks for the services provided.

García de León, who holds a degree in Business Sciences from the University School of Business Studies of the University of La Laguna, also has a master's degree in Business Administration and Management from the MBA Business School and a diploma in Tax Management and Tax Advice from Insforcan, as well as other training in budgetary matters, operational auditing, and management and administration of public health centers, among others.

In 1997, Erasmo García joined the Healthcare Services Management of the Lanzarote Health Area, providing his services in the category of Administrative Function Management Group. In addition, in the periods between 2011 and 2015 and between 2017 and 2019 he held the position of director of the Lanzarote Health Area, while between 2015 and 2017 he served as general director of Industry and Energy of the Government of the Canary Islands.

Subsequently, she joined the Administrative Function Management Group of the Lanzarote Health Services Management, and until now she has held the position of Head of the Logistics Section of said Management.
