The Association of Entrepreneurs of Puerto Naos (AEPNA) is born with the mission of protecting the interests of more than thirty entrepreneurs who have businesses in that port area, although for the moment there are few who are officially associated.

The entrepreneurs are concerned about the impact that the Arrecife General Plan and the Puerto - Ciudad project could have on their businesses. In fact, in the urban planning document of the capital, before the paralysis of its processing, they had detected changes of use in several of the plots where their businesses now operate.

Touch to the City Council

The promoters of the Association believe that the capital City Council has abandoned Puerto Naos and the sites of influence to their fate, so they intend to gain a space to make their voice heard. They hope that the Arrecife City Council will convene them when issues inherent to the future of the city have to be debated.

The Official Gazette of the Canary Islands has just made public that the documentation on the constitution of AEPNA is deposited in the General Directorate of Labor. The Association is a social and interprofessional organization, whose scope is the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, which incorporates as many people as voluntarily request it and who have interests in Puerto Naos.

Fundamental purposes

AEPNA intends, in addition to promoting the urban, commercial and industrial development of the Puerto Naos area, to promote and create a solid business culture, promoting and defending its unity and integration; act in defense of the business interests of the Island, with total independence from public administrations and any pressure group or political party; meet the information, training, research and improvement needs of companies and promote constant communication between its members.
