Labor lawyer, feminist, former deputy and former senator Cristina Almeida will be the main speaker at the socialist convention on equality, which will be held this Friday, the 20th, at 7:00 p.m. at the Torrelavega Society. In addition to Almeida's speech, there will be five other sectorial "micro-presentations" on issues related to equality.
The complementary proposals will be given by the representative of the women's association Tiemar, Lola Delgado; the president of the women's association Mararía, Nieves Rosa Hernández; the secretary of the cultural association of Independent Immigrants of the Canary Islands, Aída Álvarez; the secretary of Organization of Socialist Youth of Lanzarote, Pedro Cabrera; the councilor of the City Council of Tías, Saray Rodríguez and, the general secretary of the PSOE in Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo.
The interventions and the subsequent debate will be moderated by the coordinator of the convention, the councilor of Arrecife, Eva de Anta. Access to the day is open to all people interested in contributing their opinion and proposals or who wish to learn about the socialist reflection process, in view of its political conference.
