Man rescued with signs of drowning in the El Papelillo area of Famara

The Canary Islands Emergency Service's medical helicopter has landed on the beach to attend to the affected individual, who is in cardiorespiratory arrest

Rescuers have pulled a 35-year-old man from the sea with symptoms of drowning in the El Papelillo area of Famara, according to the Emergency and Security Coordination Center. The person was in cardiorespiratory arrest, so resuscitation maneuvers are being performed.

The incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. when CECOES was alerted. Local Police, Civil Guard, firefighters, an ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service, and the SUC medical helicopter were dispatched to the scene.The SUC helicopter has landed on the beach to attend to the affected individual.
