The councilor of Ciudadanos (C´s), Benjamín Perdomo, has requested the government team of the Cabildo of Lanzarote to "carry out the study of a new Job Position List (RPT)" or to "update the one contracted in 2009". Perdomo considers "fundamental that the rights of the institution's workers are guaranteed" and emphasizes that the RPT "prevents politicians from changing staff at will".
Perdomo has lamented that "from 2003 to 2012, 215,000 euros have been allocated to this project" and, however, "the expected results have not been obtained because an effective application" of this Job Position List has not been carried out. Therefore, the councilor of Ciudadanos has demanded that the municipal government team "execute a true RPT, which benefits the workers and guarantees their internal promotion based on the criterion of meritocracy".
"It is an important document because it not only regulates the work of the official", but also "prevents politicians from changing staff at will", added Perdomo. And he highlighted that "the RPT will also allow defining the salary tables based on the job position".
