According to the acting Minister of the Presidency, José Miguel Ruano, in the agreement "the singularities of the Canary Islands are well defined and well treated" and Coalición Canaria has found in the PP "a clarity" that did not exist in their previous conversations with the PSOE.
For her part, the head of Autonomous Policy of the PP, Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, assured that the agreement is "fully constitutional" and "manages to reconcile the specific needs of the Canary Islands with the specific approaches in which we had specific problems".
However, neither party has wanted to give details of the amendments that PP and CC will present jointly, pending communication of the understanding reached this Wednesday to the respective bodies.
