The PSOE of Tinajo held its local assembly this Thursday in Mancha Blanca, in which the new Municipal Executive Commission headed by Belén Morales Cabrera was unanimously elected, who renews her commitment at the head of the socialist group with the firm purpose of reinforcing the grassroots work and preparing the party to lead a political change in the municipality.
During her speech, Morales thanked "the trust placed in her team and highlighted the importance of maintaining a strong, united and participatory organization": "We know that the road is not easy, but our objective is clear: to prepare ourselves strongly for 2027 and ensure a socialist government in the Town Hall of Tinajo", she said.
The general secretary insisted that "it is possible" to offer a serious and committed alternative for Tinajo, and stressed that the PSOE has shown in the municipalities where it governs that "it is possible to manage with transparency, closeness and real solutions": "That model is what we want for our town, a Tinajo that advances and prospers", she said.
Morales also appealed to the collective work of the entire organization, both locally and insularly, to face the challenges of the future with enthusiasm: "We need to connect with the youth, add new voices and continue in the street, listening and sharing. That's where our proposals come from", she explained. She also highlighted the role of the current socialist councillors, Begoña Hernández and Manuel Florián, for their responsible work from the opposition, despite the constant lack of respect from the mayor: "They represent the courage and dignity of those who fight for a better Tinajo", she said.
The new Local Executive Commission is made up of:
• General Secretary: Belén Morales Cabrera
• Deputy Secretary and Administration Secretary: Manuel Quintana Medina
• Secretary of Organization and Electoral Action: Manuel Florián Toribio Bernal
• Secretary of Municipal Policy: Elisa Cordal Vieites
• Secretary of Training and Social Networks: Wilfredo Toribio Quintero
Also, the representatives to the Island Committee of the PSOE were elected:
• Mª del Mar Bernal Guillén
• Marcos Hernández Guillén
• Substitute: Luis Abreu González
The day concluded with an emotional reminder that May 15 is the International Day of Families. "We are also a family. A family that takes care of each other, supports each other and works together for a better future for Tinajo and for all our neighbors", Morales concluded.
