The Arrecife City Council informs that work will be carried out this week, during the night and early morning hours, to re-asphalt the accesses to the San Francisco Javier neighborhood, between the roundabout of the Courts, on the Vía Medular) and the exteriors of the IES Las Maretas.
The mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, requests the collaboration of residents, students and drivers, because traffic jams may occur on this road due to the works.
Yonathan de León, who is also directly responsible for the Department of Public Works, has detailed that these works will be carried out at night and early morning, to avoid inconveniencing the residents. The mayor recalls that this neuralgic Triana street, in this section, connects the Vía Medular with the Institutes, Camino de Güime, Escuela Infantil, and the Civic Center, in addition to the many residents living in San Francisco Javier.
The Department of Works of the City Council concluded last summer and autumn the integral re-asphalting of the streets of San Francisco Javier, after "more than 30 years without improvements", and this week will conclude the re-asphalting of the accesses, within the projects led by Yonathan de León to unite the neighborhoods.
The mayor recalled that this week a section of Triana Street, between Vía Medular and IES Las Maretas, will be re-asphalted, and the global transformation is being drafted to create an eco-boulevard in the other section of Triana Street, from that roundabout next to the Los Juzgados building, to Méjico Street, in its connection with Manolo Millares, whose urban transformation concluded last year.
The milling of the road section will take place on Tuesday night, and on the night and early morning of Wednesday 26th to Thursday 27th, the re-asphalting work will be carried out.
The Arrecife City Council recommends that residents use El Forito Street (behind Aldi) for access and exits to the neighborhood during this week.
