The Department of Public Works of the Arrecife City Council is carrying out new resurfacing works in the neighborhoods of Arrecife this May. As Mayor Yonathan de León had promised to the residents of Maneje and Altavista, the City Council has included several streets in these outlying neighborhoods in its planning.
"After almost thirty years without improvements to their streets, it is now that the streets of Maneje and Altavista are being resurfaced, within the Municipal Plan launched by Yonathan de León to renew the asphalt pavement in about 150 streets throughout the municipality of Arrecife," they say from the City Council.
This week the awarded company is carrying out the works in the streets surrounding the Cultural Center and the municipal plot where the City Council plans to build a new playground.
The mayor visited these works yesterday and confirmed that "the Department of Public Works is programming, using the current budgets, to continue with new phases of the Municipal Resurfacing Plan."
During this first part of the term, the Department of Public Works has resurfaced streets in the neighborhoods of Las Salinas, San Francisco Javier, Argana Alta and Argana Baja, El Lomo, La Destilla, Valterra, Puerto de Naos, and now Maneje and Altavista.
