During this month of March, the Department of Public Works of the Arrecife City Council is resurfacing a dozen streets in the Altavista neighborhood, whose roads have not been renovated for more than 25 years.
The mayor of Arrecife, and direct head of the Public Works Area, Yonathan de León, has visited these works where the awarding company is resurfacing the streets surrounding the church and the IES Altavista.
The City Council, as detailed by Yonathan de León, has included this neighborhood of Altavista in the Municipal Plan where nearly 150 streets are being resurfaced. A plan that was launched in the spring of last year in the San Francisco Javier neighborhood, and will continue during this semester of 2025 through different neighborhoods of Arrecife.
The Department of Public Works has improved with this plan, the largest in budgetary investment in the history of the capital City Council, the pavement in the streets of Argana, San Francisco Javier, La Destila, Puerto de Naos, Las Salinas, Titerroy, Valterra and Altavista.
Yonathan de León has confirmed that the machinery, after completing the work in the streets of Altavista, will move to the Maneje neighborhood where improvements will also be made to its asphalt.
