The City Council of Arrecife is carrying out new works on the roads throughout the municipality to repaint the road markings and make them safer.
The Department of Mobility and Transport, under the direction of Mario González Altube, deploys personnel to continue improving road safety in the capital of Lanzarote. In these weeks of July the workers are working in the Titerroy neighborhood, in the vicinity of the educational centers and the Lanzarote Sports City.
The City Council hopes that this entire area can be completed, in terms of reflective markings, before September, when the new academic and sports year begins, as the IES Blas Cabrera, the Pancho Lasso Art School, the Island Library, the Municipal Theater, and the Covered Pavilion and the Lanzarote Sports City are located in this sector, points out the councilor.
In many cases, the new marks are reflective for better viewing when night falls. And there is also a commitment to greater safety, especially for pedestrians and motorcyclists on rainy days.
The City Council points out that these works are prior, to reinforce road safety on these neuralgic roads. The mayor Yonathan de León reminds the residents that the City Council "will continue in this mandate with new phases of the Resurfacing Plan".
