The Arrecife City Council has published this Monday the official announcement of the bases and call for applications to fill four positions for agents of the Local Police, on a commission basis, in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP).
Yonathan de León assumed his commitment to reinforce the staff of the Local Police in the capital of Lanzarote, when he was proclaimed mayor in July of last year.
Following the approval of the general budgets of the Arrecife City Council for this 2024, the BOP inserts in its edition this Monday the official announcement by which the bases are published, which regulate this call, for four vacant positions, on a commission basis.
According to the announcement, “the personnel selection procedure is called for the temporary provision on a commission basis of the positions in an administrative situation of vacancy, in the basic scale of Agent of the Local Police of the Arrecife City Council, special administration scale, special services subscale, group C, subgroup C1.
In addition, the BOP communication adds "approve the following specific bases that will govern the reference selection process." This call includes the application form, the scores, and specific criteria to be able to apply for these four positions on a commission basis.
The mayor, who is the direct head of the Local Police, had announced at the Local Police Day event, held on December 28, that new agents would be joining the Local Police Force during this 2024.
The City Council has planned, in addition to these places, to incorporate more agents who are training at the Canary Islands Academy of the Police in a joint call for the entire Archipelago, and to reinforce the Local Police force with more resources and vehicles, which during the past 2023 carried out more than 30,000 services to the citizens.
