The Contracting Department of the Arrecife City Council has put out to tender in the first days of February several key contracts for the improvement of municipal infrastructures and services. These awards represent a total investment of 3,177,627.93 euros.
Among the outstanding projects is the work to improve the rainwater drainage networks in the municipality, with a budget of 1,680,908.99 euros and an execution period of eight months. This intervention seeks to solve historical drainage problems and minimize the impact of heavy rains in the city. "This is a priority investment that will respond to an urgent need, guaranteeing greater safety and well-being for our neighbors," said Echedey Eugenio.
Another key contract is the cleaning service for activities in open spaces organized by the City Council, with a duration of two years and a budget of 265,939.94 euros. This tender reinforces the commitment to a cleaner and more sustainable city, with special emphasis on environmental measures.
Likewise, the contracting process has been opened for the repair of sheet metal, painting and maintenance of municipal buses, with an amount of 30,779 euros and a validity of one year. "With this contract we ensure that our public transport fleet is in optimal condition, improving the quality of the service," added Eugenio.
Finally, the City Council has promoted a framework agreement valued at 1,200,000 euros for the drafting of projects, works management and coordination of safety and health in municipal works. This measure will speed up the execution of future public works with guarantees of quality and safety.
The deputy mayor has stressed that "from the Contracting Area we continue working on the optimization of public resources, with the aim of guaranteeing efficient and quality services for citizens."
