The Department of Social Welfare, Equality and Immigration of the Arrecife City Council, led by Maite Corujo, has incorporated six new social workers and a psychologist into its team, with the aim of "strengthening services and speeding up the response to the needs of citizens".
This expansion of staff will allow "a closer, more personalized and efficient attention", according to the City Council, "especially in a context in which the demand for social support has increased considerably". Councilor Maite Corujo has pointed out that this measure "responds to our main objective, which is to prioritize the welfare of people, guaranteeing a dignified, agile and quality social care".
With these incorporations, the Department of Social Welfare of the capital seeks to respond "to situations of social emergency, improve the accompaniment to vulnerable families, and strengthen community intervention programs, among other key actions".
The reinforcement of the technical team is part of the plan to "improve municipal social services promoted by Corujo". "Social welfare cannot wait. With more professionals in the team, we will be able to reach more people and provide more effective and humane care," says the councilor.
