The Arrecife City Council, through the Department of Employment, has recently hired 51 new workers who will perform functions in different departments of the Consistory.

The new workers have accessed these new jobs through the Extraordinary Social Employment Program Arrecife 2022, and will perform the work for the next 8 months.

“This new Employment Plan demonstrates our commitment to job creation in the capital, as well as the impulse to favor the insertion into the labor market for the people of Arrecife”, says the mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez.

"The 51 workers will occupy different jobs in the departments of Works, Parks and Gardens and Cleaning, collaborating in the daily operation of the capital's Consistory", they point out from the City Council.

“We are delighted to welcome these new workers to the Arrecife City Council, which will improve the functioning of the Consistory, and we wish them all the best of luck in these eight months of learning”, says the Councilor for Employment, Saro González.

The Extraordinary Social Employment Program Arrecife 2022 is organized by the Local Development Agency of the capital's Consistory, and is subsidized by the Canarian Employment Service, which has allocated a subsidy of 626,088.36 euros to the Arrecife City Council to cover the salaries and social security of the contracted workers.
