The company Pro-Activa Serveis Aquatics, S.L. has been awarded the Surveillance, Rescue and Lifeguard service for El Reducto beach, in a one-year contract extendable for four more. It has been established for an amount of 159,964.79 euros, IGIC included, and from the Consistory they point out that the economic offer of this company "was lower than the budget foreseen by the Arrecife City Council, of 183,916.78 euros, IGIC included".

From the City Council they affirm that the Service that Pro-Activa will provide contemplates, once the term foreseen for the presentation of resources is fulfilled, "the putting into operation of an autonomous surveillance tower, 7,300 bracelets for the control of minors or people with reduced mobility, as well as a dozen annual talks or workshops".

The mayoress of Arrecife, Ástrid Pérez, has positively valued "the unblocking of an essential service" and has valued "the great effort made by the City Council to carry out this file and its financial endowment".

"With this award and the improvement of accessibility and public services, El Reducto will be one of the best equipped beaches on the island," says the Councilor for Beaches, Ángela Hernández.

The award, made by the Island Governing Council of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, based on the Management Assignment Agreement with the Arrecife City Council, was made on September 23, establishing a period of 15 business days for the presentation of possible appeals.
