The Arrecife City Council has awarded the drafting of the Arrecife Municipal Traffic Plan, a project that aims to analyze the current situation of motorized, cyclist and pedestrian traffic in the Municipality and propose specific reorganization and regulation measures.

“This is a fundamental project for the improvement of the use and regulation of the road space of the capital, of mobility, and of urban circulation in the different modes of transport,” explains the mayor, Astrid Pérez.

"With the drafting of the project, the aim is, among other things, to recover the concept of sustainability, establish a new hierarchy of the use of the city, as well as ensure coexistence between all forms of moving around the capital", they point out from the Consistory.

“From the Arrecife City Council, with this project we are committed to a sustainable, accessible and less polluting city, with which we will achieve a wide space for citizens and restricted to vehicles”, says the Councilor for Mobility, Ángela Hernández.

On the other hand, the Arrecife City Council, with the aim of promoting citizen participation, has enabled a form in which residents can leave their contributions and suggestions through the following link.

In addition, representatives of public or private entities, or organized citizen groups, may also complete a questionnaire addressed specifically to entities through this link.

The questionnaire has been open since January 16, and will last for 15 business days. If any resident has any questions, they can contact the Consistory through the email [email protected]
