The Councilor for Urban Planning and Technical Office of the Arrecife City Council, Maciot Cabrera, has celebrated that nine more homes will be added to the municipality's real estate park after its approval by the Governing Board.

These actions will be developed in the neighborhoods of Arrecife Centro, Titerroy and Altavista, as part of the Consistory's commitment "to the sustainable growth of the city and the improvement of housing conditions."

Among the planned works, the renovation and expansion of a building on La Porra street, in Arrecife Centro, stands out, where a single-family house with one floor will be transformed into two houses by adding one more floor. In the same line, a building located on Manolo Millares and Sol streets, also in Arrecife Centro, will change its use from offices to six homes and a commercial space, contributing to diversifying the uses of urban space in this strategic area of the city.

In the Titerroy neighborhood, a house on Cuenca street will be subject to an expansion that will improve its functionality, while in the Altavista neighborhood an extension will be granted for the expansion of an existing house on Malagueña street, strengthening the residential offer in this area.

The Councilor for Urban Planning, Maciot Cabrera, has pointed out the relevance of these actions to respond to the housing demand of the capital. “We are promoting an urban development model that prioritizes the needs of people and revitalizes our neighborhoods. This type of project not only provides new homes, but also promotes economic activity and improves the quality of life in the city,” Cabrera declared.

In addition, the mayor highlights that the transformation of underutilized spaces, such as offices converted into homes, is a measure that reinforces urban sustainability and the adaptation of Arrecife to the demands of the future.

Cabrera has also highlighted the importance of "reducing waiting times for the granting of licenses, which have already been considerably shortened in 2024 thanks to the digitization of processes and the expansion of technical personnel in the Municipal Urban Planning Office."

“We continue working to ensure that the growth of our city is orderly, sustainable and focused on people,” concludes the mayor.
