The Department of Education of the Arrecife City Council, led by Abigail González, announces the call for grants for university and training cycle students residing in Arrecife who are pursuing studies outside the island in the current academic year 2023/2024.

"We have managed to increase the budget to 350,000 euros, 100,000 more than the previous year, so that these grants can reach the largest number of families possible," said the capital's head of Education.

Abigail González highlighted the importance of these grants, insisting that "we are aware of the limitations offered by our island and that those young people who wish to continue training to increase their job expectations have to continue their studies abroad. This represents an economic effort for families. I am confident that for the coming year we can continue to increase the budget."

The deadline for submitting applications will be 15 business days from tomorrow, following today's publication in the Official Gazette of the Province. That is, the deadline for submitting all documentation will remain open from April 2 to 22, both included.

The necessary forms can be downloaded from the Arrecife City Council website, accessing the electronic headquarters, and the documentation can be found in the announcements section. Applications can be submitted both through the electronic headquarters and in the entry registry of the Arrecife City Council.

The requirements are to be a national of a member state of the European Union or a foreigner with a residence permit, be registered in Arrecife, and be enrolled in the 2023/2024 academic year in university education or intermediate or higher-level vocational training cycles in official public or private centers that have their headquarters outside the island.
