The Judge of the Court of First Instance and Instruction No. 5 of Arrecife has confirmed that within the framework of "Operation Union", the release with the charge of bribery of Alfredo Santiago Rodríguez, worker of the Tourism Board, has been decreed.
Rodríguez was arrested last Monday and on Thursday, when 72 hours had passed since his arrest, he was brought to justice. However, the judge investigating the case decided to extend his detention, until this Friday he ordered his release on charges.
So far, none of those arrested in the framework of this operation has been released without charges, and even for three of those arrested (Segundo Rodríguez Matías Curbelo and Ubaldo Becerra) the entry into unconditional prison has been ordered.
