A woman, 75 years old, has been found dead in her house, located between Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero, according to sources from the Civil Guard. Her husband, about 77 years old, was found semi-conscious, so he was transferred to the Doctor José Molina Orosa hospital.
The Civil Guard received the notice this Monday around 3:30 p.m. Personnel from the house's maintenance service found the lifeless body of the elderly woman outside and, inside, found her husband, disabled, in the living room in a state of shock.
The event occurred in the couple's home, of English nationality, located on the road to El Pozo, in the municipality of Tías, on the road that connects Puerto del Carmen with Puerto Calero.
According to initial investigations, the woman would have died about seven hours before her discovery and the husband, disabled, would have tried to come to his wife's aid, suffering a fall, leaving him in a state of semi-consciousness. The elderly woman died of natural causes. Her husband is in good condition.
According to sources from the Tías Local Police, apparently no robbery had occurred in the house, since credit cards and money were found in it. The house, in addition, was not messy.
