The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has announced a yellow warning for winds of up to 70 kilometers per hour in Lanzarote.
The forecast estimates that the adverse atmospheric phenomenon will occur from 5:00 p.m. in the afternoon until 11:59 p.m. on the night of July 10.
Aemet estimates that the probability of this wind event is between 40% and 70%. Thus, the most affected areas are the southeast and northwest slopes of the island.
The warning also extends to the islands of Gran Canaria, La Gomera, El Hierro and La Palma, as well as the forecast of waves for the coast of the western islands and Gran Canaria.
