Her green eyes dazzled the jury and those present. Yanira Cazorla was crowned this Saturday as Miss Arrecife 2017. The mayoress of the city, Eva de Anta, put the sash on the young woman who thanked her family "for encouraging her to present herself." The Councilor for Festivities of the Arrecife City Council, David Duarte, was in charge of putting the sash on Iara Arroyo after being proclaimed Queen of San Ginés.
For her part, Carolina Hernández already holds the title of Miss Photogenicity, whose sash was put on by the graphic reporter Sergio Betancort, Sheyla Alexandra Pastor was chosen by her colleagues as Miss Congeniality and it was the councilor Jimena Álvarez who was in charge of putting on the corresponding sash.
Carolina Hernández Corujo also received the title of First Lady of the Queen of San Ginés from the hand of the councilor Carmen Delgado, and the First Lady of Miss Arrecife is now María Tavío, whose prize was given by the councilor Jacobo Lemes.
The stage, located in the surroundings of El Charco de San Ginés, was full to bursting, among the attendees the mayoress of Arrecife Eva de Anta, the Councilor for Festivities David Duarte and several institutional representatives, highlighting the music chosen as another protagonist of the night.
The gala, this year directed by Orlando Callero de León, stood out for its notable changes, including the absence of the candidates' parade in swimsuits and the recovery of the typical costume. The presenters, Paco Robayna and Demelza Viña, brought rhythm and good humor to a varied and entertaining event that featured performances by the Bohemia group directed by Juanma Padrón, Enigma, ending with the performance of the winner of Got Talent Spain Cristina Ramos who raised more than one from their seat with her powerful voice and staging.
The jury, made up of design professionals, interior designers, photographers and fashion consultants such as Oswaldo Machín or Ismael Martín among others, congratulated the young Orlando Callero for a "risky but high-level" gala.
