The Ministry of Defense has published in the BOE nº 254 of October 22, 2025, the call for this year for the acquisition of the status of voluntary reservist of the Armed Forces.
A total of 400 places are offered, distributed as follows:
- Army: 189.
- Officer Category: 66.
- Non-Commissioned Officer Category: 73.
- Troop Category: 50.
- Navy: 60.
- Officer Category: 25.
- Non-Commissioned Officer Category: 20.
- Troop and Seaman Category: 15.
- Air and Space Force: 72.
- Officer Category: 29.
- Non-Commissioned Officer Category: 23.
- Troop Category: 20.
- Common Corps of the Armed Forces: 79.
- Officer Category: 76.
- Non-Commissioned Officer Category: 3.
Among other conditions, those who hold Spanish nationality, are 18 years old or will be during the current year, and will not reach a maximum age in 2026 of fifty-eight years for officer and non-commissioned officer positions, and fifty-five (55) years for troop and marine positions, may participate in the tests; they must not be deprived of civil rights, and may not have a criminal record, nor have any judicial proceedings open against them as a defendant, accused, under investigation, or indicted for an intentional crime.
To participate in the process, those interested must request an appointment through the website of the Ministry of Defense, Sede Electrónica Central, with a deadline of November 11 (inclusive) of 2025.
