A heavy downpour surprised the residents of Arrecife this Thursday morning. These precipitations, caused by the influence of the Garoé storm, have been repeating locally and irregularly in Lanzarote since this Wednesday.
As can be seen in the images, the heavy rain caught some tourists by surprise while they were bathing on El Reducto beach. In addition, these precipitations have been accompanied by gusty wind as seen in the recording.
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts cloudy intervals for the rest of the day, with probable scattered and occasional showers. In addition, isolated storms are not ruled out until noon. As for temperatures, they will experience few changes or a slight decrease on the east coasts. The wind will blow weakly from the north, increasing to moderate at the end of the day.
This heavy downpour has caused some sewers to overflow and feces to spread on the sidewalks. In addition, according to some residents, there is a very strong smell of feces at the exit of Arrecife.
