In the early morning of this Monday, September 11, two new boats have been rescued with around 90 people, according to the Emergency Consortium.
Maritime Rescue has transferred the 92 occupants, including several women and minors, all in good condition. One of them was carrying 47 migrants, including 44 men, one woman and two minors, all of sub-Saharan origin.
The boat was intercepted by the ship 'Rhine Maersk' at 2.24 hours to 43 nautical miles east of Teguise.
As for the second barge, it was detected at 5.07 hours, in it were traveling 45 people, including 41 men and 4 women, all of Maghreb origin and are in apparent good health. The rescue has occurred 43 nautical miles from Lanzarote, in international waters. The Guardamar, after the rescue, has headed to the dock of Puerto de Naos in Arrecife, which has arrived about 7.15 am this Monday.
Of the two boats, the transfer to the Hospital José Molina Orosa of two men with minor injuries has been made, one of them with burns and the other with a trauma in a lower extremity, according to CECOES.
