Three students from the Pancho Art School have received the Extraordinary Prize that the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands grants to students of Music and Plastic Arts and Design.
These are Diego Curbelo, from the Interactive Graphic Product Assistance cycle, Dácil María Sánchez, from Artistic Cabinetmaking, and Azahar De La Fe, from Artistic Ceramics. The recognized students may apply for the National Awards for Professional Artistic Education.
Along with the students from Lanzarote, the Ministry has recognized 21 other students from other islands. The distinctions of the Professional Education of Plastic Arts and Design have corresponded to Yaiza del Carmen De Santos Navarro, from the cycle of Assistance to the printed graphic product; Paula Arencibia Pérez, from Comics; Nilza Ánely De la Barra Rosas, from Interactive Graphics; Daniela Arzarello Montelongo, from Advertising Graphics; Diana Torres de León, from Sculpture applied to the spectacle; Daniela De la Parra Ezquer, from Sculptural Techniques, and Silvia Montesdeoca Munguía, from Clothing Modeling, all of them students from the Gran Canaria School of Art and Higher Design.
Likewise, Ana María Carralero Alonso, from the Calcographic Engraving cycle; Laura Marian Silva Luis, from Animation; Evelina Moreno Afonso, from Illustration; Andrea Acosta Luis, from Ephemeral Architecture; Daniel Déniz Ravelo, from Window Dressing, and Aurora González García, from Clothing Styling; students in this case from the Fernando Estévez School of Art and Higher Design.
Raquel Rodríguez Placeres, from Artistic Jewelry Procedures; Damaris Joyvita Leoni Haase, from Photography, and Elvis José Guerra Fernández, from Audiovisual Graphics (from the Manolo Blahnik School of Art), as well as Valentina Paoletti (Fuerteventura School of Art), from Projects and direction of decoration works, have also been awarded.
Regarding the professional music teachings, Diego Abreu Socas, from the Trombone specialty, and Lucas Lindell Ojeda, from Cello (both from the Professional Conservatory of Music of Santa Cruz de Tenerife), as well as Ancor José Batista Suárez, from Tuba, and Alicia González de la Fe, from Piano (students of the Professional Conservatory of Music of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) have obtained the distinction.
To be eligible for these recognitions, which recognize students with the best academic results, the student must have completed the studies and obtained the End-of-Degree Award in their specialty in said academic period in a teaching center on the islands authorized for this purpose, in addition to having an average grade equal to or greater than 8.75 in the last two academic years.
