After Easter, many will be looking at the work calendar to find out when they can enjoy a holiday again. For those who do not have to work holidays or weekends, there are still several days of rest ahead.
In addition to the holidays of the autonomous communities, there are those that each municipality can choose. In this case, Arrecife usually chooses Carnival Tuesday, which this year was February 13, and August 25, coinciding with San Ginés. As San Ginés Day falls on a Sunday this year, the council decided to declare June 24, San Juan Day, which falls on a Monday, as a holiday.
Meanwhile, in the autonomous community of the Canary Islands, the closest holidays that remain to be celebrated are in the month of May: Wednesday, May 1 (Labor Day), and Thursday, May 30 (Canary Islands Day).
After that and in summer, Thursday, August 15 will be a regional holiday for the Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin. While next Monday, September 16, the day after Los Dolores, will also be a holiday in Lanzarote.
In addition, there are national holidays, such as Saturday, October 12, corresponding to the National Day of Spain; Friday, November 1, coinciding with All Saints' Day; December 6 as the Day of the Spanish Constitution and December 25 as Christmas Day.
By municipalities, in Haría, next June 24 will also be a holiday, for the Feast of San Juan. After having already enjoyed the holiday on February 13.
After that, in Teguise, Tuesday, July 16 for Nuestra Señora del Carmen and Monday, August 5 for Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves will be holidays.
While in Tinajo, apart from Carnival Tuesday, August 16 will also be a holiday, coinciding with the Feast of San Roque.
San Bartolomé celebrated last February 13 as a holiday and next Saturday, August 24, coinciding with the Feast of San Bartolomé.
In the case of Tías, last February 2 was celebrated to coincide with the day of Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria and February 13 as Carnival Tuesday.
While in Yaiza, May 15 for San Isidro and July 16 for Nuestra Señora del Carmen are holidays.
