To rest, there is nothing better than traveling and changing your "chip" surrounded by friends and colleagues... This is the idea of the technicians of the Department of Social Services of the Yaiza City Council, coordinated by Juana Guardia, who have organized two trips for the elderly of the municipality, with destinations such as the island of Gran Canaria and points in the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic.
The departure of a 4-day trip to Gran Canaria is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15. With full board during the trip and stay at the 3-star Hotel Igramar, three different excursions will be made to emblematic areas of the island. Prices are 385 euros for the triple room, 395 for the double and, finally, 475 for the single. These prices are set, in principle, for an expedition made up of 45 people.
The second trip is a 12-day cruise that, starting from the Muelle de Los Mármoles in Arrecife, will touch the ports of Malaga, Rome, Genoa, Barcelona, Gibraltar, Madeira and Tenerife, before returning to Lanzarote. The price of this trip ranges from 670 euros per person for the interior double cabin to 995 euros per person for the exterior cabin with a balcony.
Both trips are aimed at people over 60 years of age and pensioners, whatever their age, from the municipality of Yaiza. In both cases, to obtain more information or purchase tickets, you must go to the Department of Social Services of the Yaiza City Council, next to the municipal soccer field, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The deadline to register to travel to Gran Canaria ends on September 10, and for the cruise it ends on October 1.
Visiting Mancha Blanca
On the other hand, the Department of Social Services of the southern town hall has organized an excursion for the elderly to Mancha Blanca, which will be held next Friday, September 12.
The bus will leave Playa Blanca at 4:00 p.m. and will pass through all the payments of the municipality, with its arrival in Mancha Blanca scheduled for around 5:00 p.m. At that time, a tour of the Craft Fair will begin so that at 7:00 p.m. you can attend the religious ceremony in the hermitage that houses the Virgen de Los Dolores. The return to Yaiza is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
Those interested in attending this excursion must register at the Southern Social Services Department, located next to the town's soccer field. The deadline to register will be next Thursday, September 11.
