The municipal choir of San Bartolomé returned to the stage this Saturday within the town's festivities, to once again stage its show "Voices in the Wind". This novel and original format was presented in 2019 to great critical acclaim from the public and now, after the forced break in 2020 due to the pandemic, it has returned in this new edition of the festivities.

Despite the inconveniences of the current health situation, which among other things forces them to overcome the difficulty of singing with a mask, the members of the choir decided to resume their rehearsals to be prepared for this event. Thus, led by Professor Mariola Ferrer, and with the collaboration of friends who are experts in music and singing, they once again surprised the public, who did not stop applauding them in each of the compositions that were performed during the night.

For this edition, the repertoire was very varied, including songs from film soundtracks such as The Alamo, The Godfather or Limelight, and also from zarzuela and opera. In addition, there was also a section for the music of always, with compositions such as Te Amaré by Miguel Bosé, Amanecí en tus Brazos, by the Mexican José Alfredo Jiménez, or Tu me Acostumbraste, by Frank Domínguez, also including the theme No temerás del miedo, with music and harmonization by the director, Mariola Ferrer,

Before the end of the event, the Councilor for Festivities of the City Council of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, took to the stage to present a bouquet of flowers to the director and congratulate all the members of the choir for the show, which he described as "extraordinary".

The municipal choir, which next year will celebrate the "Silver Wedding Anniversary", said goodbye with the theme Celoso, by the Puerto Rican composer Johnny Albino.

As is happening with the rest of the events of these festivities, in which the number of public has had to be reduced due to health circumstances, the capacity was full and the invitations were sold out within a few.
