After having enjoyed a wide and varied program of events for eight days, the residents of the Arrecife neighborhood of Tinasoria have bid farewell to the festivities in honor of San Genaro for another year. A gala with dance and singing performances, fireworks, and a water party were just some of the activities that capped off the festivities this weekend.
On Saturday night, the residents of the neighborhood enjoyed a crowded gala, in which the best dance couples and groups took to the stage and surprised the public with their choreographies. There were acrobatic dances with salsa, tango, and cha-cha-cha rhythms. The singers Yshela, Verónica Almaguer, and Ana Nereyda also took to the stage, connecting with the audience with the musical selection they chose for the night, with genres such as bolero, ballad, ranchera, without forgetting the most current pop music. Their repertoire, together with their energy and careful staging, ensured that the public rewarded them with applause while asking for more songs.
The gala continued with the cheerful music of the Pal Porrón band, which was responsible for getting the public out of their seats with its melodies and managed to get them to dance. At midnight, the band members took a short break to give way to the fireworks, which filled the piece of sky covering the neighborhood with color before the attentive gaze of the residents.
At the end, loud and prolonged applause was heard, which just minutes later was replaced again by the musical chords of the Pal Porrón band, which played and enlivened the evening until well into the early hours of the morning. The capital's Councilor for Festivities, David Duarte, was present at these events, wanting to share his party night with the residents.
On Sunday morning, all those who wanted to enjoyed a delicious breakfast of churros and chocolate, in order to gather strength to participate in the fun water party, which was enlivened by the Sintonía Show orchestra. Afterwards, the festivities said goodbye to this edition with a tasty barbecue of chops.
