The Maritime Avenue of the capital of Lanzarote became this January 5 the epicenter of the illusion of children and adults who were eagerly awaiting the passage of their Majesties the Three Wise Men from the East. About 20,000 people, according to the Council, came to enjoy the Parade. Heading the royal procession were the postmen and postwomen of Correos collecting the letters of all those boys and girls who approached the mailbox while giving them sweets.

A total of 4,000 kilos that were distributed throughout the journey from the different floats that paraded along and wide of the Avenue, each one showing children's fantasies of characters that are part of the television series of cartoons and that the youngest children identify very well with them.

The tall and colorful stilt walkers also paraded wearing very colorful clothing, some of them illuminated with LED lighting. The little ones were powerfully struck by seeing the fire truck, some of them walking and others inside it handing out sweets.

The royal procession was guarded by a retinue of Romans, headed by two beautiful specimens of horses and on horseback two Romans in gala attire. Without a doubt, when the three Wise Men on camels were approaching, the faces of the boys and girls lit up and some of them, when they saw them so close, became very nervous and took refuge in the arms of their parents, who also at that moment the child they carried inside sprouted, leaving the emotions drawn on their faces.

When the Three Wise Men arrived at the mouth of the small pier, the mayoress of the Arrecife City Council, Eva de Anta, was waiting for them, who spoke for a few minutes with King Melchor and gave him the magic key so that tonight they can open each of the doors of the thousands of houses they visit, leaving the toys that the boys and girls have asked for in their letters and also for the adults. The Three Wise Men set off to reach the castle of San Gabriel, the place of residence where they would rest before beginning the mission of distributing the toys. The royal parade ended with the burning of fireworks.
