The eight agents of the Local Police of Teguise who were quarantined after a colleague tested positive for Covid have tested negative in the PCR, as confirmed by the councilor responsible for the area, Miguel Ángel Jiménez.
Regarding the infected agent, as La Voz has learned, he has been admitted to the Molina Orosa Hospital since he tested positive, but the mayor has stated that "he is fine."
Specifically, it was last Friday when this agent tested positive for Covid and, after that, eight other police officers were quarantined. As Miguel Ángel Jiménez explained on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero this Wednesday, only "six of them had been together", but due to the protocol, "the entire work group" was quarantined.
Now, after their negative PCR, the agents will join "immediately". According to the City Council, 10 days have already passed since the agents had close contact, which is the time that the protocol indicates that they must remain in isolation regardless of the test result. Finally, Jiménez wanted to wish "a speedy recovery" to the admitted police officer.
