The Patagonia Grill, Goliath and Mesana restaurants in Playa Honda have announced their reopening, ten days after their owner decided to close the three establishments after testing positive for coronavirus.
"We are starting the engine to see if it is possible to open on Friday and that everything goes well," said Luis Luna, owner of the three restaurants, who stated that the second PCR was done to his workers on Monday and that "they are testing negative," although results are still missing.
"I think that between today and tomorrow they will all be there, because the PCR was done on Monday, but the vast majority have already tested negative, so we will start with these workers, although I think they will all be negative as they were in the first test," he said.
In his case, however, although he is still waiting for the result of a second PCR, he believes that "it is most likely that he will continue to be positive." And it is that, he affirms that he has had "quite a fever and diarrhea" and that he still has symptoms.
"The fever is the most tedious thing of all because it is quite strong and constant," said Luis Luna, who nevertheless pointed out that, although he has had "complicated days" due to the fever and is still "in quarantine" at home, he is doing "well."
"I don't know where I got infected, it's an enigma"
Regarding where he could have been infected, the owner of the Patagonia Grill, Goliath and Mesana restaurants states that for him "it is an enigma." "Because no worker or anyone in the immediate environment has it," said Luis Luna, who affirms that in total PCRs have been done to 28 workers and another 25 people in his environment, among whom are several clients.
"This situation is very strange, because beyond my routine, I have not done anything. Since we opened I did no other activity than working or related to work, so I don't know, the truth," added the owner of the three restaurants in Playa Honda, who nevertheless celebrates that only he tested positive.
"Luckily it has only been me," said Luis Luna, who believes that it has also been because he acted "in an anticipated way." "Because as soon as I took my temperature and saw that I had a fever, I went to the hospital," he stated.
