The municipality of Tías was the one that suffered the most from the rains that fell this Monday in Lanzarote, since according to the records of the State Meteorological Agency, up to 28 liters per square meter were recorded in just one hour.

It should be remembered that on Monday Lanzarote, like the rest of the islands in the archipelago, was on yellow alert for rain. It was at 2 p.m. when that level of rain was reached in Tías, although at 5 p.m. there was also rain, although to a lesser extent, reaching 5.8 liters per square meter.

The Aemet warned that the northern area of the island could be the most affected by the rains, although according to the records it was at 1 p.m. when it fell with more force in the municipality of Haría, accumulating 3.2 liters per square meter. In addition, in the municipality of Teguise there were also heavy downpours, showing images of "small rivers" running through the Hurón ravine.

In the San Bartolomé and Airport area, according to Aemet data, 2.4 liters per square meter fell at noon this Monday. However, a heavy downpour cut off the road that connects the capital with San Bartolomé, since the water caused landslides of earth and stones that ended up invading the road.

La Graciosa was also not spared from the rain this Monday, and around 3 p.m. up to 2.4 liters per square meter were recorded.
