The youngest members of the municipality will be the stars starting tomorrow, Saturday, as a large part of the events programmed by the Department of Festivities are aimed at them. Thus, starting at 7:30 p.m., the "treasure hunt" game will take place, which will test the orientation skills of the participants.
At the end of it, the Water Party will take place, in which the children can combat the high temperatures that reign in the southern municipality during the summer period with a bath of fresh water.
Previously, from 6:00 p.m., the pilgrimage in honor of Our Lady of Los Remedios will have begun, which will depart from the Yaiza soccer field. Throughout it, the traditional offering to the Virgin with products of the land will take place, as well as the prizes will be awarded to the three best harnessed carts.
The Maga Yaiza 2005 and the Children's Maga with their respective ladies-in-waiting and the Senior Maga will also be named during the course of the pilgrimage. At the end of the pilgrimage, mass will take place in the Church of Our Lady of Los Remedios.
Finally, with a schedule of 9:00 p.m., there will be a performance by different folk groups at the end of which the festival will take place with the orchestras "Leñabuena" and "Suso Cabrera".
Events for Sunday
Regarding the events scheduled for Sunday, starting at 10:00 a.m., the Virgen de los Remedios 2005 duathlon will begin, a test only suitable for the best prepared athletes in the municipality, and whose beauty will surely bring together a good number of fans and followers of this specialty.
Next, with a schedule of 12:00 p.m., the holy mass is scheduled, at the conclusion of which the sunajero festival will begin with a foam party and DJ Migüi Roguer.
The events continue in the afternoon with the development of the big-headed workshop starting at 4:30 p.m.
Finally, the activities close at 7:00 p.m. with a concert by the Yaiza Municipal Band in the Plaza de Nuestra Señora de Los Remedios, at the end of which a theatrical work will be performed by the company "Entre amigos de Yaiza", in the Casa de La Cultura Benito Pérez Armas.
