The Municipal School of Plucked String Instruments of the Arrecife City Council closed the course by holding a concert last Thursday at the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture. Students from the school itself, directed by Professor Juan Arrocha, participated in it, who, before the attentive gaze of their family and friends, performed four compositions adapted for guitar such as the Danza Andaluza, Cuerdas, Mazurca del Hierro and Ansiedad. Despite the nerves because it was their first performance, they gave a luxury performance that was rewarded by the warm applause of the public.
The concert also featured the "Guitar Quartet" formed by students from the "Ciem", who receive classes taught by Professor Juan Arrocha at the Conservatory and had accepted the invitation to participate in this closing. They performed two works entitled Rodriguesca by Javier Riva, and Fun For 3 by Dieter Kreidler. The young people achieved a magnificent performance, leaving the bar very high and being rewarded with applause.
The second part of the concert was given by the Municipal Orchestra of Plucked String Instruments, made up of nine members who, with great tuning, played the different instruments that make it up, such as bandurrias, guitars, lute and bass. For this concert, Professor Juan Arrocha chose a careful selection of compositions by authors such as Joaquín Sabina, Carlos Cano, or Nicola Piovani, among others, with well-known songs such as La Vida es Bella, María la Portuguesa, and Y nos dieron las Diez, ending with the composition by Ramón Djawadi, Juego de Tronos with arrangements by one of the members of the orchestra, Blas.
The attending public was able to enjoy a splendid concert where the students, very excited, exhibited all the work they have been doing in the classrooms during the course with their professor at the head, Juan Arrocha, who was "very satisfied with the achievements" and congratulated them publicly.
