The occupancy of the Molina Orosa Hospital with Covid-19 patients continues to grow and this Tuesday there are already 19 people admitted with this disease. In addition, two of them are in the Intensive Care Unit, while the rest are on the floor.

Among the latter there is a patient of only 8 years old, in addition to a young man of 29 and another of 33. The rest are between 49 and 98 years old. As for those admitted to the ICU, they are two men aged 62 and 65.

The number of admissions almost doubles what it was last week, just before New Year's Eve, and coincides with the exponential increase in infections that the island is experiencing. However, it is far from the data recorded in previous waves, when there were many fewer positives but more hospitalizations.

In the worst moment, experienced a year ago, there were more than 60 people admitted to the Molina Orosa Hospital and up to 23 people in the ICU, with less than half the active cases than now.
