The Management of the Health Services of the Lanzarote Health Area celebrated on December 13 the act of tribute and recognition to the 29 professionals who retired during the year 2023. The event took place in the Doctor Guzmán Classroom of the Insular Hospital of Lanzarote and was attended by the manager of the Health Services, Pablo Eguia, members of the management team and colleagues and family members of the honorees.
The 29 retired professionals who received this recognition belong to different categories such as Nursing, Medicine, Psychology, caretakers, laundry, kitchen, midwives and technical and management personnel, both from the areas of Primary and Specialized Care. All of them received the affection of the management team and their colleagues in a very emotional meeting.
During the event, the manager, Pablo Eguia, expressed his recognition of the work carried out by these professionals, while thanking each of them for their dedication to Lanzarote's health for years.
On behalf of the honorees were Fernando Martín, the oldest worker of the Management with 51 years of service, Blanca Fraguela, twice manager and head of the Admission service for decades, and Silvia Camino, psychologist of the Insular Hospital, who offered a few words to all their colleagues and took a tour of their professional stage full of anecdotes and highlights, and how they face this new stage that they have recently begun, retirement.
The event included the musical performance of several professionals of the Management, who offered their music to the attendees and ended with the traditional family photograph outside the Insular Hospital.
