The trailer for the German film "Der Nachname", filmed earlier this year in Lanzarote, has already been released. This preview of the feature film already shows some of the island's characteristic landscapes, such as La Geria and the Timanfaya National Park, as well as the César Manrique airport.
The filming team could be seen there last February, when T2 of the airport was turned into a television set to record some of the film's sequences.
"Der Nachname" is a sequel to the successful comedy "Der Vorname", released three years ago. According to the synopsis of the feature film shot in Lanzarote, produced and distributed by the company Constantin Film, the Böttcher family moves to Lanzarote to spend a "harmonious" family reunion, but the trip is complicated by several conflicts between them and with "violent discussions about an inheritance".
The film, directed by Sönke Worthman, will be released in German cinemas on January 20, 2022.
