The filmmaker from Lanzarote, Roberto Pérez Toledo, is participating again in the Notodofilmfest Festival, where he already won the Special Jury Prize two years ago, with his short film "Rotos". A story about sentimental breakups, for which Roberto Pérez Toledo has counted on a great cast of young actors. The short film can be seen [on the festival's website->http://www.notodofilmfest.com/index.php?corto=34734#/Home/Ficha/34734/] .

According to this filmmaker from Lanzarote, "Rotos" is "a twist on what happens in breakups." "It has a very particular structure. What it's saying is that everyone, whoever leaves us, teaches us how to break up with the next partner we have. It's the story of how we learn to hurt each other, and whoever hurts us turns us into harmful people for the next times." The story, according to Roberto Pérez Toledo, is told through "a wheel of breakups, where A leaves B, B leaves C?".

For this, this young film director has counted on a great cast of young actors, who "are growing" within the world of cinema. Thus, in the cast we find Alejandro Albarracín ("Tierra de Lobos"), Elena Furiase ("El Internado"), Javier Calvo ("Física o Química"), Dani Muriel ("Escenas de Matrimonio"), Elisa Mouliaá ("Águila Roja"), Jonás Berami ("El Secreto de Puente Viejo"), Laura Díaz ("Ángel o demonio"), Fernando Tielve ("Seis puntos sobre Emma"), Ana del Rey ("La Pecera de Eva"), Ruth Armas ("Los Gritones") and David Mora ("Sé lo que hicisteis").

According to Roberto Pérez Toledo, the Notodofilfest is the "most prestigious online festival in Spain." It is a festival that I find very exciting. Its development is very competitive, but it is very stimulating," says the young film director, who states that "about 1,000 short films" are submitted to this festival. "From there, a screening is done, which will be in about two weeks, and the finalists are chosen, which will be about 90, and then from there to the nominees, which will be about 10 or 15," he adds.

On the jury will be Daniel Calparsoro, Jaume Balagueró, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, Patricia Ferreira, Víctor García León and Javier Fesser. "It is stimulating that your work is going to be seen by such powerful people," says Roberto Pérez Toledo.

The filmmaker from Lanzarote already won the Special Jury Prize two years ago, with his short film "Los gritones", which has more than thirty national and international awards."I made it for that festival, I won the award, and it started to travel to festivals all over the world," says its creator.

National premiere of "Seis puntos sobre Emma"

Also, on May 11, "Seis puntos sobre Emma", Roberto Pérez Toledo's first film, will premiere nationally. The film, starring Verónica Echegui, Álex García and Fernando Tielve, already premiered last December in the Canary Islands cinemas and "had a very good reception, thanks to word of mouth".

"It's a good date, because it's a month with little competition from Spanish cinema and we believe that this is good so that "Seis Puntos sobre Emma" finds its place at a national level and something similar happens to what happened in the Canary Islands, that there was very good word of mouth," says the young filmmaker.
