The festivities in Órzola, in honor of Santa Rosa de Lima, will begin this Friday and will continue until September 4. The festive program includes traditional events, as well as sporting events that will be enjoyed by all the town's residents.
The first event will take place on Friday at 5:00 p.m. The children of the town will make a mural in the Caletón Blanco Sociocultural Center and at 9:00 p.m. a toast will be held to mark the beginning of the festivities. In addition, a photographic exhibition will be inaugurated and at 10:00 p.m. the "Golden Generation" dance will take place.
On Saturday, at 3:00 p.m., the First Bottom Fishing Boat Meeting will be held; at 4:00 p.m. the PlayStation contest will begin; at 6:00 p.m. the Women's Bowling Championship will take place; at 6:30 p.m. there will be a "Trick Championship" and at 9:30 p.m. a motocross exhibition.
On Sunday, the residents will be able to enjoy a Ping Pong championship and the "Best Canarian Food" contest and subsequent "Canarian Party", where everyone can bring their musical instrument. Next, the burning of the "Queveo" will be celebrated.
During the week of August 29 to September 4, the festival program includes raffles, playbacks, soccer championships, children's parties, film screenings, mattress regattas, greasy pole, storytelling, a Pamela party, in which it is essential to dress in white, popular festivals and a water party, among many other events.
In addition, on Sunday, August 28, there will be a Eucharist at 6:00 p.m. and a procession.
