The young man who died scuba diving last Monday in Puerto del Carmen was Hernán López, a young student from the Arrecife School of Fisheries, and a resident of the municipality of Tías.
The Educational Community and School Residence of the Arrecife School of Fisheries has expressed its deep regret for the death of Hernán López Shanahan, a student of the Intermediate Level Cycle of Underwater and Hyperbaric Activities, and accompanies his parents, family, colleagues and friends in their pain.
"Still shocked by the news, we celebrate the chuman warmth and companionship that he always displayed and we will keep an affectionate memory of his presence in our hearts," they point out from the school.
The young Hernán López was also a fan of Canarian wrestling, and fought for the club in his municipality, the Unión Sur Tías.
The young man's funeral chapel is located in the Alianza Canaria funeral home, from 4:00 p.m. this Thursday,
