The College of Social Graduates of Lanzarote celebrates the centenary of the Profession and its 20th Anniversary

The San José Castle hosted an emotional ceremony presided over by Dean Lourdes Rodríguez and with the participation of prominent authorities from the labor and social spheres of the Canary Islands

The College of Social Graduates of Lanzarote solemnly and successfully commemorated the Centenary of the Profession and the 20th Anniversary of its creation, in an institutional event full of emotion held at the emblematic Castillo de San José. The ceremony was hosted by the renowned RTVE journalist, Eva Navarro, who brought warmth and professionalism to the evening.

The dean of the College, Lourdes Rodríguez, presided over the event and welcomed the attendees, expressing her gratitude for the presence of the president of the General Council of Social Graduates of Spain, Joaquín Merchán Bermejo, as well as numerous authorities from the labor and administrative sphere of the Canary Islands.

Among the attendees were Francisco Guindín Sancena, territorial director of the Labor and Social Security Inspectorate of the Canary Islands; José Ramón Rodríguez Albertus, director general of Labor of the Government of the Canary Islands; Pedro Duarte Vázquez, provincial director and territorial coordinator of SEPE in the Canary Islands; Carlos Gómez Bosqued, provincial director of INSS of Las Palmas; and Juan de Dios Fernández Lupiáñez, head of the Specialized Unit of the National Office for the Fight against Fraud in Las PalmasRepresentatives from local institutions and professionals also participated, such as the deans of the Bar Associations, Economists, and Architects, directors of mutual societies, members of the Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Tax Advisors of the Canary Islands, in addition to numerous members who wanted to join this historic date

During the ceremony, the Governing Board of the College honored Pedro Luis Duarte Vázquez and Juan de Dios Fernández Lupiáñez as Honorary Members, in recognition of their outstanding professional careers and their contribution to the development of the profession. Both received a framed diploma and a representative figure of the Lanzarote peasant woman, a symbol of the effort and dedication of the island's people.

The President of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Astrid Pérez Batista, sent a congratulatory message via video, in which she highlighted the hundred years of history of the profession and the twenty years of existence of the Lanzarote College, praising the work of social graduates as pillars of labor advice and social justice.

The event concluded with the words of the dean, Lourdes Rodríguez, who thanked the authorities, members, and collaborators for their presence, and expressed an emotional recognition to the president of the General Council and the journalist Eva Navarro for their involvement in this commemoration.

With this celebration, the College of Social Graduates of Lanzarote reaffirmed its commitment to the profession, society, and the progress of the island, honoring the past and looking with hope toward the future.
