The various festivities that dot the calendar always seek activities for children and young people to enjoy. In the case of the celebration of Nuestra Señora del Carmen in Valterra, yesterday was a special day for the youngest members of the neighborhood. They were the main protagonists of the sports clothing parade that was held in the Gobernador José García Hernández park.
The youngest children were the first to come out. On the catwalk, they showed sporty and comfortable clothes to wear every day. Accompanied by music and light shows that encouraged the spectators, the little ones showed their best clothes on stage.
However, this was only the beginning of a pass that already showed its quality. Next, a group of girls between 13 and 16 years old went up to the catwalk. There they performed a magnificent dance with modern music. The public, some two hundred people, a good part of whom were family and friends of the protagonists of the night, broke into applause on several occasions. But the best was yet to come, as some of these young women also showed their skills in song. Thus, as an intermission, they performed melodies of all styles that were also very popular.
With this good atmosphere, the next pass was made. Again the girls went on stage. This time to parade with clothing models that surprised everyone. The first step was made up of the swimsuits that are most popular this year. Bikinis of all colors accompanied by the most modern accessories such as bags or t-shirts. Next, they showed street clothes in which colors such as pink or more summery and in accordance with the Island such as brown were the protagonists.
Preparation
One of the most outstanding aspects of the parade was its organization. As explained by the president of the Valterra Neighborhood Association, José Cruz, the older girls have been in charge of organizing the entire show. Although the most important thing is that everyone has been a protagonist. In this sense, all the participants have been the creators of the different choreographies that were performed on the catwalk.
With this activity, the neighborhood association tries to encourage the young people of the neighborhood to carry out new activities. In short, the children enjoyed this great show and who knows if the professional future of some of them is in fashion.
