The Hunting Society organized last Sunday an exhibition of the "Podenco Canario", a dog that participates in the hunts of Lanzarote. The event, which took place behind the Hunting Society, next to the football field of San Bartolomé, was presided over by the Councilor for Sports and Youth of the Cabildo, Francisca Toledo.

More than 20 dogs were presented at this exhibition, although only a few managed to win a trophy. Among them, Tinache stands out, the canine that triumphed in the Male Dogs category. Colgate and Majorero were the second and third classified, respectively, in this category. Francisca Toledo, Councilor for Sports and Youth, was in charge of distributing the trophies, which consisted of a cup that their owners collected.

In addition to this category, other trophies were also awarded in various categories such as puppies, young and adults. The best canine specimen also had its trophy, which this time went to Jamela de Javier Lemes. Antonio Monzón Mayor, national canine judge, acted as judge of this "Podencos Canarios" contest.
