The Cabildo of Lanzarote has granted the category of emblematic hotels to two tourist establishments located in the municipality of Haría, 'La Casa de los Naranjos' and 'Delmás'.
The president of the island institution, María Dolores Corujo, explains that these buildings become part of the historical heritage of the Canary Islands. "The emblematic seal requires responsibility and commitment to the culture, art and ethnography of the Islands," she points out.
She also highlights the importance they have in redefining the tourism model of the Canary Islands, in general, and Lanzarote, in particular. "Our tourism model has a differential offer and evolves, increasingly, towards a sustainable model. We have a large number of autochthonous elements and values that are an attraction for tourists, beyond the traditional sun and beach," Corujo highlights.
The emblematic hotel 'La Casa de los Naranjos' has eight units and 20 accommodation places, while 'Delmás' houses ten units and 20 accommodation places.
